Catherine’s grandmother was on holidays in Jokulsarlon, Iceland and wanted a very special photo.
While posing for a photo on a throne made of ice, the wave broke the chunk off from the shore and Judith found herself floating out to sea.
“Lost her kingdom when she drifted out to sea!” Catherine’s father wrote in a message.
“No joke. A coast guard rescuer had to save her and bring her back to shore!”
Speaking with ABC News, Judith told them all about the debacle.
“When I got on it, it started to totter and a wave was coming in,” Streng told ABC News.
“A very large wave came in and kind of made the throne kind of rock, and I could tell that I was slipping off.”
Luckily Judith was rescued by a nearby boat captain and was back on dry land pretty quickly.
The photos have since gone viral, and have collected an impressive number of retweets.
