He’s the king of Carpool Karaoke, but after this performance with rock icons KISS, James Corden is the king of relatability.
The Late, Late Show host became the unofficial 5th member of the supergroup for a middle-aged remix of their signature track, Rock and Roll All Nite.
The re-imagined classic saw Corden trade lyrics with Gene Simmons, singing alternatives to rockin’ and rollin’ all night and partying every day:
“More than two drinks is a big mistake/ Can’t fall asleep and get the worst headache/ I got work tomorrow, let’s not get crazy.”
Then, as KISS belted the track’s refrain – “I wanna rock and roll all night/ And party every day,” Corden kept thing real with, “I wanna rock and roll one night, then get to bed around 8.”
Speaking of KISS, they’ll be heading down under for the final time in November 2019 with their End of the Road world tour:
November 16 – RAC Arena
November 19 – Coopers Stadium
November 21 and 22 – Rod Laver Arena
November 23 – Newcastle 500 supercars after-race concert
November 26 – Qudos Bank Arena
November 28 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre
