Our Friday funnyman Jon Pinder has been spending a lot of time on WA minesites doing comedy gigs, places he’s beginning to really enjoy.

“They’ve all been good, because they all feed you really well,” he told Botica’s Bunch on Friday.

“And they’ve got like their little taverns and very specific times that they’re allowed to socialise and have a few beers and stuff, and by the time they get to that time, they’re buzzing, they’re well up for it.”

Thing is, just this week he learned something he doesn’t not enjoy at minesites.

He thought they were just called ‘tornadoes’… but, of course, we know them as willy-willys.

While they can be fun to look at from afar, they’re not something you might want to, you know, step into.
