The new Fyre Festival?
Kanye West’s recent performance at a church service has been compared to the failed festival over the expensive breakfast plate that was sold leaving some attendees less than impressed.
Kanye was performing songs from his new album ‘Jesus Is King’ at Bethany Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and it was free for people to attend.
But the food that was sold to the crowd, that was advertised as a ‘Brunchella’ breakfast plate and cost $55 each (which is about $AU80), left some disappointed.
While this money was being donated back to the church, at least one woman demanding her money back over the less-than impressive offering.
Many people quickly began to compare the plastic plate to the infamous cheese sandwiches that were served at Fyre Festival.

But back to Brunchella.
The picture posted to social media by a woman named Kimberly Kinchen shows two skinny strips of bacon, a couple of pancakes that look like the ones on offer at Macca’s and another unknown item that looks like a meat patty of some sort.
“Can y’all cover a story on this because I want my coins back,” she wrote, directing her post to a local news station.
“This is the wonderful & COLD brunch BUFFET we are being served,” she continued. “The server looked at me crazy when I asked for another pancake.”
The caterers for the event provided a statement to Daily Mail.
“Lauryn’s Fine Catering has been contacted about the poor service and quality of food provided during the event as a paid vendor.
“The catering company acknowledges it did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral. Any further inquiries or food complaints associated with the event can be directed to Lauryn’s Fine Catering,” the statement said.
Other people complained that the VIP area of the even was practically non-existent and that Kanye’s performance was delayed by hours after the scheduled time of 6pm.
A source close to the event told Daily Mail that Kanye West was not paid for the concert and covered his own expenses to get to the Church.
What do you think? Is the food unacceptable for the expensive price? Or should the person not be complaining as it was to raise money for the church? Let us know!
