Immortal rock legend Keith Richards has admitted he’s finally quit smoking.

In fact, he hasn’t had a dart this year at all.

“I’ve given up smoking…since October,” he said in a recent interview with Q104.3 New York.

“Done that, been there [laughs].”

The 76-year-old guitarist, who’s also simply renowned for still being alive despite his staggering history of drug and alcohol abuse, says he has only a couple of vices left – rock and roll and the occasional glass of Pinot Grigio.

As for drugs, Richards previously admitted he found them “not interesting” these days.

“They are very institutionalised and bland. And, anyway, I’ve done ’em all.”

As for the smokes, Richards has been trying to quit for some time. He said last year that kicking nicotine was harder than quitting heroin.

Other than the odd glass of beer or wine, Richards told Rolling Stone he hasn’t touched booze for about a year.
