We’ve got some news that will have scary movie fans everywhere SCREAMING! Only this time not from pure terror… but from actual excitement!

Cult fav thriller IT: Chapter Two is only just in theatres and already raking it in at the box-office, so it’s no surprise that there’s already talks about there being a third instalment!

While you may have thought that the saga of Pennywise the clown and The Losers Club was complete, the actors behind the film certainly aren’t ruling out a Chapter Three.

Bill Skarsgard, who plays the terrifyingly creepy Pennywise, spoke with Entertainment Weekly recently when he admitted that it would be fun to create another film. And he already has an idea for what it could be about.

“It would have to be the right type of approach to it. The book ends where the second movie ends, so that is the final chapter of this story,” Bill said.

“There is this interesting aspect of going back in time before all this happened. There might be a story there that might be worth exploring. Obviously that would be a story that’s not in the book, it would be a freestanding story, but obviously within the same universe.

“So, there might be something interesting out of it. I think it would be fun.”

It seems that the director of IT, Andy Muschietti, is also on board, recently saying that the clown’s ancient history would be a good topic to explore in a possible Chapter Three.

“There is a whole mythology to the book though,” Muschietti said. “Mythology is something that always has opportunities to explore. It has been on Earth for millions of years. He’s been in contact with humans for hundreds of years, every 27 years. So you can imagine the amount of material. It’s always exciting to think of eventually exploring this mythology.”

We reckon if you ask the fans, they’ll agree that this is something that has to happen!

But of course, nothing official is on the table yet so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Until then, you can catch IT: Chapter Two in cinemas now!
