Looks like we’ve got another biopic on the cards!
Following in the footsteps of films like Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody is a new film about pro boxer Mike Tyson.
And looks like the leading role has already been cast as none other than Jamie Foxx.
The 52-year-old actor confirmed the news while chatting on Mark Birnbaum’s Instagram Live series Catching Up saying, “It’s a definitive yes”.
“Look, doing biographies is a tough thing,” Foxx said. “Sometimes it takes 20 years to get them done. But we officially got the real ball rolling.”
The Oscar-winning actor said that he was keen to show all of the different sides to Tyson, although he does have a lot of physical work to do in order to get in shape for the role.
“Every other day, I do 60 pull-ups, we do 60 dips, we do 100 push-ups,” he continued. “I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we might have to get some prosthetics for that.”
No word yet on when they will start filming or when it could be released but, hey, we’re psyched!
