There’s not many movie reviews from Ben O’Shea that have The Bunch in full-bod chills.
I’m not going to say too much here other than The Father the latest flick starring Anthony Hopkins and the wonderful Olivia Coleman (The Crown).
It’s a story that’s too familiar to so many families: dementia.
“Anthony is 80, mischievous, living defiantly alone and rejecting the carers that his daughter, Anne, encouragingly introduces,” the film’s synopsis reads.
“Yet help is also becoming a necessity for Anne; she can’t make daily visits anymore and Anthony’s grip on reality is unravelling.”
While the film is poignant, O’Shea said it might leave you disorientated… which is kinda the point.
