If you told us one of the Sex and the City characters was going to be killed off if the third movie ever came to fruition, our thoughts would immediately have gone to Kim Cattrall’s character, Samantha.

I mean, she wasn’t too keen on the reboot and allegedly had some major demands if she were to sign on.

But lo and behold, news has broken that Mr Big’s fate was set in stone for the third movie.

Carrie Bradshaw’s husband was set to die of a heart attack in the shower early on in Sex and the City 3.

Whaaaaat!? Plot twist.

According to Origins podcast host James Andrew Miller after Mr Big’s early demise it would make the “remainder of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big’s death than about the relationship between the four women.”

Blasphemy! It takes away from everything good about the whole Sex and the City franchise.

Miller interviewed a number of cast and crew from SATC for his podcast, spanning three episodes and hinted that he was in possession of a portion of the draft script.

The plot line also may have something to do with why Kim refused to reprise her role for the third installment – with the movie having too much of a focus on Mr Big and Carrie Bradshaw and not the girls.

We’re shook.

Maybe it’s best that the third movie is not happening, because we don’t know how we’d be able to deal with all of that drama!
