The iconic Christmas bop, ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ has hit number one on the Billboard Charts again… 26 years after it was released.

The year was 1994 and the sweet, sweet fantasy that is Mariah Carey released a very festive Holiday album, simply titled ‘Merry Christmas’.

It spawned three well-received singles but the now eternal Christmas classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You hit the festive feels… hard… for many Christmas lovers around the world!

Despite all the popularity, the track never attained the #1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US until last year – some 25 years later.

Twenty-six years later, Billboard announced that All I Want For Christmas has topped the Hot 100 charts for the second time ever.

Carey has shared her joy across her social media accounts, simply writing ‘I don’t want a lot for Christmas…’ just wishing for a bit more JOY and some holiday spirit for all, especially this year.’
