Aussie music legends the Hoodoo Gurus are set to celebrate their first-ever live show 40 years ago, with a live show.

The boys will be supported by none other than The Dandy Warhols who are one of the only international acts to have made the trip down under, including a two-week quarantine, just to perform for the five-date national tour, wrapping up at Belvoir Amphitheatre in Perth.

Thing is, for a band that have notched up 40 years of music on their belt, they have a new album is on the way, with plans for release later this year.

Frontman Dave Faulkner told The Bunch the new single ‘World of Pain’ wasn’t about the political state of the world… it was about getting absolutely hammered.

“It’s about getting a bit too loose and getting into a lot of trouble,” he said, recalling one particular night where Faulkner (one of the nicest blokes everrrrr) got into a fight at a nightclub…
