No doubt the entire world is thinking, ‘What About Us?’, this morning following news that one of our all-time favourite performers is taking a break from music.
Pink has announced that she is taking an extended break from the music industry in order to focus on her family.
It’s believed the break could last at least a year as the singer spends time with her husband Carey Hart, 8-year-old daughter Willow and 2-year-old son Jameson.
“We did two and a half years of [music], and Willow’s back in school now,” she said to Entertainment Tonight.
“Jameson’s going to start preschool soon. It’s kind of the year of the family. And Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn.”
It’s certainly understandable that the ‘Raise Your Glass’ singer needs to step away for a break. It seems like she’s constantly busy releasing new music and touring around the world with her incredible trapeze performances.
This comes after Pink and the fam stepped out on the red carpet for the Country Music Awards in Nashville this week.
“They just make it fun for me,” said Pink, when asked why she brings her whole family to industry events. “They have so much fun. There’s just so much to see and it’s really cool. This is [Willow’s] second CMAs. She was a princess last time.”
Pink also performed at the awards with Chris Stapleton singing ‘Love Me Anyway’.
This morning she shared some photos from the event on Instagram, writing about how it was the perfect way to finish up before her break.
“#cmaawards2019 what a fun way to end an era #grateful” she wrote.
