No doubt you already follow the official Instagram account for the royal family – Kensington Royal.

But if you’re looking for every more updates from the royals in your Instagram feed then we have good news for you!

In an unprecedented move, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially joined social media and have made their own Instagram account!

Fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were sent into an absolute frenzy after the Sussex Royal Insta account appeared on the platform and it has since gained over 700 thousand followers, including some big celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Blake Lively.

While many see the new account as a positive (because hello, more photos of Harry and Megs is never a bad thing), others have seen the move as the latest sign of a feud between them and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Harry and Meghan would previously share updates along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the Kensington Royal account.

The Sussex Royal account has already made it’s first post, which is a gallery of some of their favourite images, along with a previously unseen photo of the couple in Fiji during their royal tour last year.

“Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues,” the caption read.

“We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal. – Harry & Meghan.”

The Kensington Royal Instagram account was simultaneously updated to remove Harry and Meghan’s names from the description and the profile picture was changed to an image of William and Kate with their three children.

They also posted an image of Meghan and Harry, welcoming them to Instagram with their own account.

We have no doubt that this new Insta account will be the place that the royal couple announce the birth of their first child together so we’ll be keeping our eye on their page!

Meghan is said to be due sometime this month.
