“We’re seeing WA on steroids at the moment.”

This is how aviation expert Geoffrey Thomas described the sheer hunger for travel right now, and it seems carriers are listening.

During a chat with Botica’s Bunch on Monday, Mr Thomas flagged that Qantas had some specials happening, starting at just $209 to Broome and $169 to Exmouth.

“There’s no special fares between Perth and the eastern states because they’re obviously still in lockdown but Qantas says that as soon as that border is lifted, whenever that might be, they’ll have special fares to get across to the eastern states, Tassie  and the like,” he added.

You’ll have to keep an eye on the sale endates – some end this week, some are open right up until August 28.

It also seems that Virgin Australia are also jonesing for a sale, with one earmarked sooner than we thought.

“This week Virgin Australia will be coming out this week with some specials to Broome and Kununurra,” Mr Thomas said.
