There have been rumours circulating that Prince Charles could be taking over the Monarchy in as little as 18 months.

But today, Royal officials have confirmed that The Queen won’t be giving up her duties to her eldest son any time soon.

“There are no plans for a transfer of responsibilities at 95 or any other age,” a Clarence House spokesperson told the Daily Star.

The comment was in response to a source that told The Sun that the Queen would retire within 18 months and pass the crown to him.

At 93-years-old Britain’s longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, shows no signs of slowing down.
