It’s not that often that you hear of a TV Show making people physically ill but that’s exactly what was happening when Netflix’s hit horror series The Haunting Of Hill House was released.

The show was said to be so darn scary that it was causing people to faint and even in some cases throw up.

And now, thanks to all the horror-loving freaks out there who found this factor to be thrilling and exhilarating rather than a turn off, the series has now been renewed for a second season.

But it’s going to look a little different to the first season…

The streaming service has confirmed that they have signed a multi-year deal with The Haunting of Hill House producers Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy to create a second instalment.

This second chapter will have a new title, being called The Haunting of Bly Manor and will be “chronicling a new story with all new characters.”

“Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy are masterful at creating authentically frightening stories that leave audiences on the edge of their seats, but unable to look away,” said Netflix Original Content VP Cindy Holland.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with them on The Haunting series and future projects to come.”

The first season followed the Crain family 12-years on after they moved into an old mansion where they were haunted by spirits and dealt with various aspects of paranormal activity.

But it appears season two won’t be a continuation of this storyline.

“I think that there are all sorts of different directions we could go in, with the house or with something completely different,” Flanagan previously told EW about the idea of renewing the series.

“I felt like the Crains have been through enough and we left them exactly as we all wanted to remember them, this of us who worked on it.”

The Haunting of Bly Manor is said to be based on a horror novella by Henry James titled The Turn of the Screw, published in 1898, which follows the story of a governess hired by a man who’s been left to take care of his niece and nephew after their parents died.

The governess arrived at Bly country house only to find that she’ll be dealing with more than just children after finding some ghosts and paranormal activity.

Season two is expected to arrive in 2020. But while we wait, we have a very short (and already very creepy) teaser trailer shared by the series on Twitter. You can watch it in the video above (If you’re brave enough…)
