In this week’s reboot news, a sequel series to Who’s The Boss is in development, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Stars of the OG series, Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza are apparently earmarked to both star and executive produce.
It’s understood that Danza and Milano would reprise their father-and-daughter roles as Tony and Samantha Micelli and the gist of it is Samantha’s life as a single mum – who’s now living in the same house where the original was set – and her relationship with her now-retired dad.
This time around, it seems Samantha will be the ‘Boss’.
Other core cast members, Judith Light and Danny Pintauro, AKA Angela and Jonathan Bower, have not yet signed on. Katherine Helmond, who played Mona Robinson, passed away in 2019.
Who’s The Boss originally aired from 1984 to 1992.
