Finallyyyyyy…. a new rank on the other side of the Matagraup Bridge is set to include space for on-demand services like Uber.

The ‘Uber ban’ at Optus Stadium has been a bugbear of many sporting and concert goers, and for patrons of The Camfield.

It’s reportedly part of a string of changes to the stadium.

Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said the government made the changes after listening to punters.

“The feedback was there were some very unsafe pickups and drop-offs,” Ms Saffioti told Perth Now.

“Feedback was really around better access for on-demand transport.”

However, it’s looking unlikely that the Uber rank is going to get any closer to the stadium.

“The plan for the stadium is to limit vehicle access … the plan was really a public transport plan,” she said.

Another change included the return of a stadium-to-CBD bus stop outside the stadium instead of across the bridge and a new 665 bus route servicing Kalamunda, Forrestfield and Belmont.
