If you’ve downloaded the latest Apple update and reckon your battery is draining quicker than usual, you’re not alone.
Since the iOS 12.1.4 update was released on February 7 to fix a FaceTime bug, many have speculated that it might have affected their battery life.
Users reported noticed some major issues after downloading the update, specifically that they were unable to connect to cellular data or even their own Wi-Fi. Several also noted their phones showed “No Service”.
There also appears to be some reported battery issues, specifically some users’ batteries seem to be draining faster than normal.
While there has been no direct connection of the connectivity dramas and the update, users seemed to only notice it after updating the software.
@zollotech are you experiencing a massive battery drain on iOS 12.1.4 with the iPhone XS Max? Did some searching on Twitter and numerous complaints about it. See if your followers are getting it as well?!

Hey @AppleSupport, I’ve got a new iPhone (less than 6 months old) and the battery life was great. Software update iOS 12.1.4 was pushed to my device a few days ago and now suddenly my battery drains like CRAZY! What’s going on? Battery consumption has near tripled! This is bad.

Ios 12.1.4 is not recommended at all if you are using more than 1 iphone or (ipad not sure) with same id. Or if you had battery replacement before for 6s plus and lower unit!!! Had my live chat using settings and after their recommendation it worsened my phone😫😫😫
