Dog owners around the country are being warned to check their pet food after a national recall.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition has recalled 13 of their canned dog food products.
This recall affects Prescription Diet and Hill’s Science Diet canned foods which are both sold in Australia.
The cause for the recall is because of a chance that the dog food may contain elevated levels of vitamin D which could cause harm to dogs.
The company has said that affected products can be replaced at no cost if pet owners contact their local pet store, vet clinic or online retailer.
