If home renovation shows are your thing, there’s a strong chance you’ve seen an episode of Selling Houses Australia.
And if you do watch these TV shows, you’ve most likely heard of gardening extraordinaire Charlie Albone.
Thing is, Charlie’s jumped ship to rival rival lifestyle show, Channel Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens.

Excitement overload! For those that don’t know yet I will be joining the amazing team at Better Homes and Gardens. @bhgaus . It’s a show I can remember watching when I first came to Australia 20 years ago so to be asked to be part of it seems crazy but an experience I’m loving. I’ll be focusing on all things gardens and the first makeover is an absolute cracker – be sure to tune in 7th of Feb at 7.00pm @channel7 Thanks to the team who have made me feel so welcome @johgriggs7 (AM I might add) is a legend as is @adamdovile who has more energy than anyone can fathom. To the other green thumbs @realgrahamross you simply are the best there is for the horticulture industry and @melissakinginthegarden I’m looking forward to getting to know you and working with you soon. To every other person on the enormous team thank you for making me feel so welcome – here’s to a great future sharing our passions and knowledge.
Albone held his post for 13 years before receiving an ‘opportunity he could not turn down’.
Foxtel, who hosts the Lifestyle channel, are looking for Albone’s replacement and it turns out they are accepting applications from the public!
Yep, you or the handy person in your life could be sharing the screen with Shaynna Blaze and Andrew Winter.
