What’s the book that had the biggest impact on you?
It was after The Bunch spoke to Claudia Karvan about The Books That Made Us, a three-part docuseries exploring the books that have shaped Australia… that they wanted to know what books impacted listeners.
Clairsy admitted that while he’s more of a non-fiction kinda guy, there was one fictional book from his school days he could never ever forget
“They made us read Jaws,” he said, as in the 1974 thriller by Peter Benchley.
“What, really? They made you read Jaws?” Lisa remarked.
“Yeah, in Grade 7,” Clairsy replied, which was primary school.
“I’ve never forgotten the bit where Brody finds the girl under the rock after the shark attack!”
