A professional cleaner has shared some eye-opening vision of a smoker’s apartment, with its once-white walls and ceilings now stained a dark orange.

Katie, who is known on TikTok as ‘katesgreats’, is no stranger to disgustingly foul homes, but this one left her speechless.

She was asked to clean the walls of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment that was owned by a smoker who recently passed away from lung cancer.

As soon as Katie walked in, she immediately noticed the deep orange walls and ceilings – stained from tobacco smoke – alongside small white patches where pictures used to hang on the walls.

It took her and her team a week to remove the “sticky” stains so the walls could be repainted.

The video – which has amassed over 17 million views – sees Katie reenact a phone call she had with a customer ahead of the cleaning job.

She initially says it could be cleaned within a day, but changes her mind after close inspection.

“I’ve done nicotine removals a lot. Never like that. I mean, I’ve never… the walls, everything was sticky. I felt sticky every day when I left. And I smelled really bad,” she said.
