Some WA geezer is trying to flog an empty Coon Cheese package on Facebook Marketplace, labelling it as ‘Vintage cheese packaging.’

For $50.

The stunt comes after the brand chose to re-badge to ‘Cheer Cheese’ after feedback that ‘Coon’ was a racially-charged slur against people of colour, despite the brand being named after it’s American cheese processor Edward William Coon.

Thing is, the current packaging is still being sold and will keep being sold until July.

So you CAN buy an empty box for $50 or you can hop to Woolies and grab a full one for $6-7, it’s your call.
