So if you missed the cut-off for sending Christmas presents via Australia Post (it was December 12 BTW)… there is an alternative.
Uber has now also an on-demand package delivery service.
I’m not making this up.
The new Uber Connect feature lets users send or receive packages – and it’s already on the homescreen of your Uber app.
“We wanted to provide a more seamless and stress-free way to send and receive packages, especially with Christmas just around the corner,” Dom Taylor, GM of Uber ANZ said.
“Whether you want to send that Secret Santa gift, some homemade treats, or a care package to a loved one across town, Uber Connect has you covered.”
Uber Connect is currently available in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Geelong, Darwin, and Townsville.
