On the surface, it’s not a bad deal.
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan kitchen, polished floors, private decked alfresco area in East Vic Park… for $295 per week.
And then you realise something.
One of the bedrooms is, in fact, a kitchen.
Either that, or the kitchen is the bedroom.
A kitchroom?
Thing is, while this floorplan is totally expected for a studio apartment, the listing clearly states it’s a “2×2 unit” with an “open plan kitchen”.
Now I’m not dogging the joint, I reckon it’s perfect for these chilly nights – you can just reach over and whip up a roast chicken without once leaving your bed – but, as one online commenter said: “you can’t add bedrooms to a place by just adding more beds.”
Or can you?
