We have seen our fair share of weird and wacky ideas that people have undertaken this year to try and safeguard themselves from the spread of coronavirus.

From Pete Evans trying to flog a $15,000 lamp that apparently fought the virus to an American President suggesting that people inject bleach into their bodies, 2020 has been a wild year for crazy ideas.

That’s why we are not even a little surprised by this new guideline from China’s peak aviation authority.

According to CNN, a new recommendation from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has left a few people more than a little surprised.

In an attempt to limit the number of trips to the bathroom staff are taking, the CAAC is recommending that flight attendants wear adult nappies.

The document from the authority cites the risk of infection from using the bathroom as the reason for the suggestion.

“It is recommended that cabin crew members wear disposable diapers and avoid using the lavatories barring special circumstances to avoid infection risks,” the document reads.

It is not known whether flight attendants are opting to go with the authority’s recommendation.
