In news a whole lot of us were hoping for, WA will join the Trans-Tasman travel bubble with New Zealand.
Premier Mark McGowan made the announcement on Friday afternoon that from 12:01am, April 19, New Zealand will be treated as another jurisdiction under WA’s controlled border.
Meaning travellers from New Zealand will be able to undertake quarantine free travel to WA.
Travellers will still require a G2G Pass, and to undergo the usual health screenings at the airport if required.
Of course, this will be pending health advice and any further COVID outbreaks.
Meanwhile, Mr McGowan also announced that many WA venues are set to return to 100% capacity.
