Hot, dry and windy conditions will make for an increased bushfire risk in the Perth metro area on Tuesday.

We’re in for sunny but a thermonuclear 41 degrees – and it seems we won’t see the mercury dip below 30C until Sunday.

“We’ve got hot air from the east, north-east being dragged down over the Perth area,” The Bureau of Meteorology’s Neil Bennett said.

The Bureau also reckons that there’s a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm later on in the afternoon or evening, we’re talking mostly around the Hills area.
