One of the most epic performances from last week’s Highway To Hell event is starting to do the rounds on social media, and we’re 100% living for it.
On March 1, Perth’s Canning Highway was renamed Highway To Hell, commemorating 40 years since AC/DC’s Bon Scott’s death with fans lining the 10km route to hear bands riding on the back of trucks perform cover versions of Accadacca classics.
But for those who simply couldn’t hear, my goodness, enter Auslan interpreters Mike Webb and Mike Levett.
Susan Emerson from Auslan Stage Left told the ABC they had a request for Mr Webb to come to Perth to do this because “there’s no other like him”.
“So we managed to fly him over for it and we had a huge deaf crowd turn up and absolutely love it,” she said.
Just gonna throw it out there, these guys stole the goddamn show.
