OK, so *inhales deeply* Bunnings has said that their beloved sausie sizzle might return later this month.

The hardware giant’s statement followed a confirmation from The Wanneroo Sports and Social Club that they were able to book one for August 8 at the Wangara store.

Campbell Pudney told Radio 6PR that he knew that things could change between now and then, but was hopeful the fundraiser will go ahead.

“[It’s] a huge thing,” Mr Pudney said on Wednesday morning.

“It doesn’t mean very much to the public but it makes a huge difference to the local sporting clubs.”

In a statement to 96FM, Bunnings Chief Operating Officer, Deb Poole, acknowledged that the community were missing the sizzles and were working on a plan to bring them back in places where restrictions have eased.

“We are consulting with governments and our charity partners to ensure we bring them back in a way that’s safe for everyone,” it continued but check this out (and our emphasis):

“We hope to have them back up and running in WA towards the end of the month pending final checks and consultation.”
