A former reality TV star has been found alive after a two-day search after he failed to show up to work at a WA minesite.
David Clarson, who appeared on House Rules alongside wife Chiara in 2018, was due to start his two-week swing at the remote Windarling mine site, about 140km north of Southern Cross on Monday.
Local police had said he was meant to arrive at work just before sundown and no one had heard from him, which sparked a two-day land and air search amid ‘urgent concerns’ for the 41-year-old’s welfare.
The 41-year-old was found dehydrated and disorientated after his GPS took him the wrong way and subsequently couldn’t get phone reception.
The couple, who share three children, had reportedly separated in recent weeks. They had previously spoken out publicly about mental health and the demands of FIFO life, as recently as 2019.
