Premier Mark McGowan is standing firm on his decision for interstate travellers to complete their 14-day quarantine despite a further relaxing on border restrictions next week.
From December 8, travellers from Victoria and New South Wales won’t have to quarantine when they arrive in WA.
Mark McGowan told Botica’s Bunch the Chief Health Officer has advised that people from those states who were already quarantining won’t be allowed to leave early.
“You still have to get health checks, you still have to fill out [GTG] forms, you still have to get a health screen, all those sorts of things before you can come in – we’re the only state that still has that in place.”
