We’re well on track to having our lockdown restrictions eased from 6pm, pending no further positive virus results.

After four days of posting nothing but zero cases, it’s easy to assume that Friday will be no different.

On Friday morning, Premier Mark McGowan spoke to Botica’s Bunch about the big elephant in the room.

“If a positive case is reported today, does that mean that lockdown will not happen at 6pm – would it just take one [case]?” Lisa asked.

“Not necessarily,” McGowan replied. “It just depends how and where it is.”

“If it’s someone already in quarantine that we identified prior to them becoming infectious, it wouldn’t stop the changes we’ve announced for tonight.”
