Just when you thought we could possible see the year out without incident, the Baysie Bridge has woken after a brief hibernation.

On Monday, a truck attempted to run the gauntlet and, in news that surprises no one, failed.

In the last incident, on November 21, the bridge showed some rare mercy by letting its prey go with just some structural damage.

Not this time.

The bridge, which has not one but two signs declaring its 3.8m clearance, has now been struck a grand total of 10 times this year.
