While it was a hit on social media, footage of a young lad jumping from a bridge onto the roof of a ferry near Guildford has been reported to police.

Video of the incident surfaced on Wednesday showing the teen dropping from a bridge, onto the roof of a moving Captain Cook Cruises ferry before running to the back of the boat and jumping into the Swan River.

Captain Cook Cruises had since reportedly flagged the incident to police.

The original video of the stunt was shared by the unofficial voice of Perth, The Bell Tower Times, which had further thoughts after police – and news reports – got involved:

The bridge is owned by the Water Corporation and climbing it is illegal and, technically, trespass.
