Looks like Perth’s getting another Aldi after overwhelming support from locals.
Conditionally-approved plans were made for the development of the supermarket and liquor store for Kakadu Road in Yanchep.
And when we say overwhelming support, 98 of 104 submissions supported the proposal, just two objected and four came back neutral, the Wanneroo Times reported.
Some of the conditions of the development related to bushfire, noise, waste and construction management plans.
Currently, the only supermarket in Yanchep is Woolies and it’s expected that the new Aldi would create 15 to 20 full-time and part-time jobs.
