If you just can’t get enough of these grey skies, you’re in luck, we’re about to cop one helluva downpour this weekend.
A huge cold front is expected to hit WA in the wee hours of Sunday morning, bringing with it a month’s worth of rain in four days.
Up to 45mm of rain is forecast for Sunday, while Monday could see 35mm and up to 10mm could fall on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
“It’s slow moving and as a result the rain will be around for a reasonable length of time, delivering falls from early Sunday,” Bureau of Meteorology’s Neil Bennett told PerthNow.
“Certainly falls in excess of 50mm are possible in a two to three day period.”
Perth is set to cop the brunt, while the South West is also forecast to receive big falls.
Farmers in the Mid West will be celebrating a welcome bout of wet weather on Sunday and Monday after recording months of below-average rainfall.
