A 28-year-old woman will front court on Thursday after being accused of driving across the border, dodging hotel quarantine.
She had been granted an exemption to fly back to Perth from Victoria on Tuesday and was advised she would be issued with a direction to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days, at her own expense.
Police said the woman didn’t arrive at the airport, later finding her at her partner’s house in Scarborough.
It will be alleged the woman entered WA undetected via road some time between July 30 and August 11, breaching the state’s Quarantine (Closing the Border) Directions.
Inquiries are continuing into how the woman entered the state without detection.
