If you think your local Bunnings is big, Midland suddenly rocks up saying, ‘hold my beer’.
Spanning over 21,000sqm – nearly 7,000 square metres larger than the existing store – the new mega Bunnings opened its doors on Friday.
It’s also the biggest in WA.
This beast is so big, it has its own fully-enclosed timber and building materials yard with a five-lane timber drive-through and a dedicated fully-enclosed bulky trade area specifically for large deliveries direct to site.
And if you like seeing all the bits pulled together in a real-world ‘room’ (I’m looking at you IKEA), they’ve done that too.
The in-store concepts include full bathroom displays, a kitchen design centre with 12 brand-new kitchen concepts, BBQ and furniture displays and a new flooring concept…
And, and, and… a new power garden concept with ride on lawn mowers on display. Dad’s gonna go berko.
In a first for Bunnings in WA, it also feature brand-new door selector displays, garage and wardrobe storage displays, AND heaps of artificial plants and flowers.
“The team’s been working really hard to get the new store ready and we can’t wait to welcome local customers through our doors. We’ve been at the current Midland store since 2001 so we’re excited to bring an even better offer to the community,” Complex Manager Justin Myles said.
Umm, local? Yo, I’m gonna make a trip out from Tuart Hill to check this monster out.
The new Bunnings Warehouse Midland is located on the corner of Clayton and Lloyd Streets in Midland.
