A second concert has been scheduled after WA’s Fire Aid sold out in just an hour.
Beloved WA acts John Butler, The Waifs and San Cisco are locked in for the second Fire Aid – From WA, With Love gig at the Fremantle Arts Centre, as well as local rising muso, Carla Geneve.
“We just all happened to be in town,” John Butler told Botica’s Bunch on Tuesday.
“The Waifs [were already] playing at the venue and everything was set up.”
Butler said everyone was immediately on board with the idea of a benefit concert.
“It was just a little something to help these people going through so much,” he added.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to fire services, local communities and wildlife protection groups affected by the ongoing bushfire crisis over east. These include the VIC Bushfire Appeal, NSW RFS and WIRES Wildlife Rescue.
Also, all profits from merch sold at the gigs will go to local fire service organisations including the WA Emergency Services Volunteers’ Hardship Assistance Scheme.
ALSO… if you can’t make it, a downloadable recording will be made available within a week of the conclusion of the concert, again with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the above causes.
