Ahhh, yes, it’s that time of year where Insta and Facey feeds everywhere start to fill up with jacaranda trees in full bloom.
For around 6 weeks in October and November, canopies of purple flowers can be seen all over town.
Here are the best neighbourhood spots in Perth that scream purple heart emojis:
Applecross Village
These guys know jacarandas, I mean, they have a whole festival celebrating them.
Highgate
Run, don’t walk, to Hyde Park, a sea of purple awaits.
North Perth
Never been to Leake Street? It’s considered a jacaranda mecca, so put it in your GPS.
Inglewood
These guys are lucky enough to have a purple haze of jac’s all along Sixth to Tenth avenues.

Subiaco
If the street called Old Jacaranda Way didn’t have jacarandas along it, well, it’d be completely misleading. But, don’t worry, it 100% lives up to its name. Also, check out Subiaco Common.
East Perth
Another jacaranda strip comes to us via Marlborough Street. This purple hot spot extends right down to the Swan River.
