A train collected an abandoned car in Maddington on Thursday morning, causing traffic chaos.
The train smashed into a Jeep parked on the line at the intersection of Albany Highway and The Crescent.
Not only did the train have no passengers on board at the time, there was also no one in the vehicle.
Albany Highway continues to be closed from River Avenue to Helm Street and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Delays also continue with public transport, with trains cancelled between Cannington and Armadale. Transperth is running replacement buses.

Meanwhile, there was a truck rollover at the intersection of Roe and Tonkin Highways.

Main Roads advise that there no access to Tonkin Highway northbound from Roe Highway southbound and for motorists to find an alternative route.
