While it is still Golf Australia’s formal recommendation that all golf clubs and facilities should close until further notice, Golf WA has taken a different position.
A clause which prevented golfers hitting the course, even as a single, has been lifted.
In a statement from Golf WA, the clause was removed and not replaced, “…inferring that any outdoor sporting activity can take place provided no more than 2 people participate.”
It added that that if golf clubs wished to stay open, players were required to adhere to social distancing regulations of at least 4 square metres of space for each person.
“This position has been confirmed by the state government,” it read.
