A sad week for the WA Police Force Canine Section after long-time police dog ‘Ice’ died on Wednesday.
The nine-year-old had been working with the WA Police since 2012 and, during that eight years, uncovered a “huge amount” of illicit drugs and money.
‘Ice’ retired in April but died after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
He was described as a “much loved mate”.
It’s with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our much loved mate PD “Ice”. He was born on the 8th Nov 2010 & commenced serving WA Police Force 2 years later. In his 8 years of service he uncovered a huge amount of illicit drugs & cash. He retired in April this year. RIP Ice 🌈 pic.twitter.com/NLfHs7wKin
