Kerri-Anne Kennerley has gone on a bizarre rant on Studio 10 this morning.
The TV host, who’s known for her right-wing opinions, launched an unhinged monologue targeting Labor and Bill Shorten.
Echoing many of the same recent talking points conservative shock-jocks Alan Jones have been raising in past weeks, she was upset over Labor’s plan to tax the extremely wealthy to fund his budget plans.
She also took aim at franking credits, Shorten’s plan to support trans-gender Australians and cover out-of-pocket expenses for cancer treatments for all Australians.
“If Bill Shorten gets in, it’s the end of life as we know it,” she said. “Honestly, without question.”
“These kids out there who are gender confused, and there’s a percentage of people out there gender confused, they will put up this Commission and we, like Tasmania, will have a child and it won’t be male or female, it will be gender-free.
“That’ll be national.”
In April, Tasmania’s Government passed legislation that gender is an optional field, but parents can still specify their child’s gender.
Bill Shorten has not indicated he would put in place a similar reform, and it would be impossible for him to do so anyway, as births, deaths and marriages are controlled by the states.
The election will be held this Saturday, 18th May.
