A recent poll had Mark McGowan with a massive overall approval rating of 88 per cent – which spiked at 91 per cent among the state’s young women aged 18 to 39.
As the March 13 state election approaches, McGowan is a formidable force – even Liberal Leader Zak Kirkup has admitted his party is the underdog.
His popularity piqued this interesting observation:
WA & QLD are Labor’s disaster states federally where they struggle to win any seats at all. Yet both have popular ALP state Premiers. Irrespective of who leads Labor, I wonder if these states would swing across if McGowan because Labor deputy & palaszczuk shadow treasurer 🤷♂️

Because of this, The Bunch threw it out to McGowan on Tuesday morning – would he ever consider federal politics?
