No additional cases of COVID-19 have emerged since yesterday’s announcement that a FIFO worker returned a ‘very weak positive’ result.
Premier Mark McGowan said more than 7000 people were tested since the announcement at 2pm on Wednesday.
A number of the FIFO worker’s close contacts, including his girlfriend, housemate and three of his very close workmates from FMG’s Cloudbreak minesite, returned negative tests. They remain in quarantine.
Everyone who was at Perth Airport Terminal 4 (The Qantas Domestic Terminal) on 20 July between 4am and 7am, as well as on 27 July between 4am and 6am, must also now get tested immediately and self-quarantine until you get a negative result.
The list of other exposure sites include but not limited to:
- Old Faithful in Freo on July 28
- Indian Ocean Hotel (the Indi Bar) on July 29
- Subi Hotel on July 31
McGowan urged people to keep checking the list of exposure sites & using the SafeWA app.
