Prime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed that the first of the COVID-19 vaccines will be distributed to Aussies next month.

He said he expected the vaccinations would begin rolling out across the country in mid-to-late February.

Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration is expected to receive all the information needed to approve the Pfizer vaccine by mid-January.

Once approved, Aussies would begin being vaccinated against the deadly virus within weeks.

“It is moving considerably faster than normal vaccine approval processes but without skipping a step, without cutting a corner,” Mr Morrison told reporters.
