A woman has been arrested in the South Australia after allegedly stowing away in a truck to return from Victoria.
The woman, aged in her 60s, had spent several weeks over the border before allegedly sneaking back home on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Police arrested the woman yesterday, charging her with failing to comply with COVID-19 directions.
Police are now on the hunt for the driver of the truck to find out out whether they were aware of the stowaway.
The news comes as Victoria notches another unenviable record, with the state recording 723 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
Under current rules, all but essential workers are not permitted to enter South Australia from Victoria.
